Disc separator centrifuge 10÷300 l/h / 9.500 rpm
Separates solid-liquid or liquid-liquid mixtures by centrifugal force.
Extremely compact disc centrifuge for all laboratories requiring a small centrifugal phase separator.
This model is ideal for liquid/liquid or solid/liquid phase separation and is extremely popular in university laboratories and scientific research institutes.
Model with very high separation efficiency that minimizes the loss of material.
It has considerable advantages such as simple installation, immediate and intuitive operation and it is also equipped with an accurate dynamic balance that determines minimum vibrations, long periods of use and maximum safety and reliability.
It is an extremely compact instrument with a simple interface.
The configuration includes a drum centrifugal device mounted on a vertical axis whose motion is guaranteed by a belt drive through a high accuracy motor.
The separator or disc centrifuge is a vertical machine used for the separation and clarification of liquids.
The principle on which the disc separator is based allows to separate solid-liquid or liquid-liquid mixtures by centrifugal force.
The technical structure and the application are the main elements that distinguish a separator from a decanter centrifuge.
Areas of application of separation technology
The separators are designed to perform functions that require high precision or separation of very fine particles.
They are also used for the separation of solid-liquid mixtures with a small density difference.
The application possibilities for disc separators are manifold and are in use in the most diverse branches of industry:
- Food and beverages
- Grease and oil processing industry
- Chemical, pharmaceutical and biological technologies
- Oil industry and energy sector
- Environmental protection
Separators are mainly used for three different processes:
- As clarifiers/separators for the clarification of liquids. The clarification process consists of the separation of finely distributed solid particles from a liquid. The separator is used for mixtures with a low solids content. If the mixture to be clarified has a high solids content, the decanter is the right choice. The clarification of turbid substances in fruit juices is a classic field of application for separators.
- As a simple purifier/separator for separating liquids. The separation process consists of the separation of a low-density liquid from a high-density liquid. An example of use is the separation of water drops from mineral oil. Solids are also separated at the same time.
- For the concentration of liquids. The concentration process consists of separating (concentrating) a light liquid from a heavy one. An example is the extraction of essential oil from water through the use of the separator. The simultaneous separation of solids is possible.
