Highly selective medium for the isolation and differentiation of Corynebacterium diphteriae

Packaging
Suspend 40 grams of medium in one liter of distilled water. Mix well and dissolve by heating with frequent agitation. Boil for one minute until complete dissolution. Sterilize in autoclave at 121ºC for 15 minutes. Cool to 55ºC and aseptically add 50 ml of laked blood and 10 ml of 3,5% Potassium Tellurite Solution, mix well and dispense into plates.
