Glass solvent filters are used primarily in microbiological and analytical procedures that involve collecting a particulate (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension.

These glass solvent filters are made of high-quality extra hard glass, it’s sparking and crystal-clear and the thickness is even, with the performance of withstanding voltage and very excellent leak-proof ability.

The size follows with international standard size, and especially it can be used for sterilization at high temperature and high pressure.

The all-glass system consists of an upper funnel, a filter holder with vacuum connection, an base flask for collecting the filtrate and a clamp.

These filter units are mainly used in microbiological and analytical protocols that require the collection of a particulate matter (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension.

The operation is extremely simple: the liquid sample is poured into the upper funnel and passes through the filter that holds the particles, while the filtered sample is collected in the lower flask thanks to the filter holder connection that connects to the vacuum.

The configuration is made of borosilicate glass of the highest quality with other transparency, uniform thickness and high mechanical resistance with ground fittings of great capacity of seal.

The sizing conforms to international standards.

All parts can be autoclaved.

Applications

Vacuum filtration of corrosive, aqueous and organic liquids for particle contamination analysis.

Also ideal for the filtration of solvents for HPLC.

The parts in contact with the samples to be filtered are made of borosilicate glass, the sealing surfaces are ground; the vacuum connection is integrated in the filter holder base which also serves as a cap for the flask; therefore, to avoid suction of the liquid into the vacuum tube, this is placed above the outlet of the filtered product.
