Available with three types of surface treatment
- Standard TC-treated surface: untreated polystyrene has an uncharged hydrophobic surface with low protein binding in cell adhesion. Inhomogeneous adhesion and cell growth are limited. Tissue culture (TC) surface treatment provides a negatively charged hydrophilic surface that allows smooth and homogeneous protein binding ensuring perfect cell adhesion and growth
- CellBind surface treatment: this surface provides superior cell adhesion conditions for protocols with difficult samples, e.g. serum-reduced or serum-free media resulting in improved cell yield. Even smoother and more uniform cell adhesion for higher cell growth and yield. It allows much faster and more efficient adhesion of cells with reduced serum content or no serum and reduces premature cell detachment from confluent cultures. It also eliminates the need for biological coatings that require unstable conditions and elaborate construction. It allows operation without refrigeration and is very stable at room temperature
- UltraLOW surface: is a low-adhesion surface treatment consisting of a naturally charged hydrophilic covalently bonded hydrogel. It minimises cell adhesion, protein adsorption and enzyme activation. The surface is non-cytotoxic, biologically inert and does not deteriorate. It keeps cells in suspension and prevents their adhesion. For example, it is very useful when preventing adhesion-mediated differentiation of stem cells and preventing anchorage-dependent cell division.
