Makler Sperm Counting Chamber
Device for semen analysis
Makler's Chamber is an easy-to-use device for rapid and accurate sperm counting and evaluation of sperm motility directly in fresh semen and microscopic reading.
When the slide covers - object is placed on the three protrusions, a defined space is created between the two glasses in which the semen diffuses forming a monolayer (the sperm in the thickness are free to move in a horizontal plane without friction mimicking the real situation, standard conditions for all samples).
With the Makler's Camera device it is possible to evaluate the following parameters:
- Motility' - Count of non-mobile sperm in 9-16 squares and count of mobile sperm in the same area and evaluation of the degree of motility
- Morphology - Calculation of the percentage of normal and abnormal forms found in the sample; verification of the presence of round cells, red cells, white cells and cells of spermatogenesis, exfoliation cells, agglutination between spermatozoa
