Polypropylene watch glasses (PP).
Very stable having a moulded base.
Can withstand temperatures up to 120°C.
- Circular glass container, slightly concave, used in chemistry to evaporate a liquid, weigh small amounts of solids or to cover a beaker
- This latter function avoids the entry of dust or other particles but, by not completely sealing the beaker, allows to continue to occur gas exchanges
- When used as an evaporating surface, a watch glass allows the observation of crystallization or precipitation and can be placed on a contrasting colour surface to improve visibility
