Designed to test pH and mV (ORP) meters

This instrument is a portable pH/mV simulator designed to test pH and mV (ORP) meters.

It is an excellent diagnostic tool for testing process controllers equipped with inputs for pH and mV (ORP).

A great tool for checking the proper operation of pH and redox meters, including process controllers.

Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a problem is with the instrument or the probe.

By simply connecting the simulator to the meter's input jack and turning the knobs, you can simulate pH readings from 0.00 to 14.00 pH in 0.01 increments and in the mV range the output from -1000 to +1000 mV in 1 mV increments.

In the pH range, it outputs a signal according to the Nernst equation. A signal of pH 7.01 corresponds to 0 mV and each pH unit has a change of 59.16 mV at 25°C. Values of pH 8 thus correspond to a voltage of -59.16 mV and pH 6 to +59.16 mV. Note that the values may be displayed differently on the instrument if you are using an instrument that has been calibrated with a probe. Calibrating the instrument with the simulator should show the same readings in the range 0-14 pH.

On the ORP scale, HI9310014 outputs a signal from -1000 to 1000 mV. This range can be used to check the range of a redox meter for performance.

It connects to any instrument that uses a BNC connector. HI9310014 provides pH/mV values at 25°C reference temperature.

When the simulator battery is running low, a low battery indicator will be displayed.
